Matthew Krishanu is a painter based in London. He studied at Central Saint Martins College.
Matthew Krishanu’s paintings construct narratives exploring themes from memory, childhood, religion, colonialism and empire.
His many solo exhibitions include: A Murder of Crows, Ikon Gallery, Birmingham (2019); and Corvus, Iniva, London (2019). Group exhibitions include: The John Moores Painting Prize, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool (2018).
He has works in collections including the Arts Council Collection, Government Art Collection, Priseman Seabrook Collection, and Jiangsu Art Museum, China.
Matthew Krishanu joined BAGT Blackhose Lane Studios in 2012.
