Pauline Evans
Paper size : 50.8 x 40.6cm
Edition 10/10
Pauline Evans is an accomplished London-based artist and printmaker whose striking figurative work moves between memory, family, folklore, humour and the uncanny. A graduate in Fine Art from Portsmouth, Evans completed an MA in Printmaking at Chelsea College of Art and has exhibited widely in solo and group exhibitions.
In 2016 she was selected for the Columbia Threadneedle Prize, exhibiting at the Mall Galleries, London, and subsequently at Palazzo Strozzi, Florence. Her work has also been shown at the Affordable Art Fair, Hampstead, and in numerous London exhibitions.
Evans works across printmaking, painting, drawing, textiles and three-dimensional media. Her highly individual imagery draws upon memories of the past, relationships between people and animals, family dynamics and persistent folklore, creating works that are at once tender, humorous, mysterious and psychologically compelling.
A BAGT studio artist at Blackhorse Lane Studios since 2010, Evans is currently presenting her solo exhibition Touching Magic at BAGT's Atrium Space in September 2026.
Barbara 2 is a superb introduction to Evans's singular imaginative world — and, with editions limited to only 20 small and 10 large prints, an unusually affordable opportunity to acquire work by an artist with an established exhibition history.
